At this time of year, do you wish for PEACE in the world?
Do you wish for wars, mistreatment, violence, abuse to end? And maybe your next thought coming up is “This is a good wish, but it is not achievable”.
It is the best wish, yes, and if you feel it deep inside, even better.
Can it come true? How? Is there something you can do personally to contribute to this Peace? Even though you are a normal person, not the president of any country or of any multinational that makes money with every war taking place… is there something we all can do?
The answer is Yes. Let’s see…
How are you doing, in your daily life? Do you get angry because of a comment someone makes to you? Does it make you nervous to know that you are right and the other party does not give in? Do you lose your patience when you find yourself in a traffic jam? Do you get upset if it rains when you expected it to be sunny? Do you lose your temper when someone does not follow your instructions?
These examples illustrate small everyday circumstances in which we tend to lose our peace; when the ego acts we lose it very easily! (Note – we are NOT suggesting that we should swallow injustice, that we should not defend ourselves if we are attacked, offended, abused, etc. The moment any of this happens, of course we must act.)
The outside world without peace is a reflection of our inner world. Only on a larger scale.
It shows what happens when only or mainly the ego is in charge, that ego becoming collective by seducing the masses, that ego that feels attacked or wants to grow even larger, a manipulative ego full of fear and insecurities.
The (only!) thing we can do, each one individually, is to access, discover and get to know our inner world, our within, to shed light on the unconscious mental conditioning that governs our thinking, feeling and acting, and work to free ourselves from it. Realize that there is another dimension in us, beyond the psychological one, and learn to access it. This path is called Efficient Meditation.
Then, your way of being in this life begins to change. Your desires and fears will diminish, and with them insomnia, anxiety, the impetus to attack or take revenge,… You’ll begin to feel Peace, a peace that does not depend on the circumstances being to your liking.
When you feel this PEACE in an increasingly stable way within yourself then you will begin to see it in the world. This is the “order of appearance”: first inside, then outside.
In this sense, we wish you a
Merry Christmas
and Happy 2025 experiencing PEACE !
A big hug, Bea and Eduardo
