We live in a time when poor diet, toxic habits, a polluted environment and stress produce an accumulation of substances in our body that are harmful to our health. It is in everyone’s interest to detoxify!
How do I know if a DETOX is good for me?
There are a wide variety of symptoms, from headaches and heartburn, joint and muscle pain, insomnia, to anxiety, mood swings, lack of energy, tiredness and lack of concentration.
If you have any of these symptoms, it is likely that you have a level of intoxication that needs your attention to return to your well-being.
And, the truth is that nowadays, with the lifestyle we lead, I consider that it is convenient for everyone to do a DETOX treatment regularly to strengthen our immunological system, the best defense against any virus or bacteria.
Why is it advisable to go for a DETOX even if I´m not sick?
In short: to prevent, to not get sick.
Due to our inadequate diet and toxic habits that many of us have adopted, there is often an overload of harmful substances that we have incorporated into our body, for example, heavy metals such as lead, mercury, aluminum, arsenic, toxic chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, additives and drugs, and bacterial and food residues. Toxins are also formed as residues of protein metabolism, and others.
These overloads produce alterations at all levels – cellular, tissue and organic – thus weakening our immune system.
Therefore, it is very convenient to carry out a well thought out and conceived detoxification to cleanse the three affected levels.
What does a DETOX treatment consist of?
A first step is to stimulate the elimination organs, such as the skin, lungs, kidneys and intestines. With this we activate the natural elimination pathways available in our body.
A second phase is the detoxification of the internal medium or intercellular space, a little-known but very important place, where cells deposit waste that will then be eliminated to the outside by the organs mentioned above.
A third phase is cellular detoxification and restructuring, because it is here, in our cells, where the greatest damage occurs: when toxins accumulate, cell function is altered, which is the starting point of most diseases.
In the first phase, the indication of a healthy diet will prevent the introduction of new toxins while ensuring the supply of nutrients for good cellular functioning. A supply of water in sufficient quality and quantity will be very important because water is the vehicle used by all our elimination organs to carry water-soluble toxic substances to the outside.
Physical activity is recommended because it is the best way to increase cardiocirculatory activity, stimulating internal circulation that transfers toxins to the liver, via blood and lymph, for their neutralization and subsequent elimination.
Detoxification of the internal medium is carried out once the elimination organs have been activated. It is produced by restoring intestinal hygiene, neutralising an excess of free radicals, reducing metabolic acidosis and facilitating the liver’s blood filtering functions, bile secretion and detoxification of hepatocytes through enzymatic processes of neutralising toxins.
Finally, the functional cellular restructuring is carried out by providing all the nutrients that the cell needs: trace elements, essential fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins… in addition to a healthy diet.
Can a DETOX alone resolve symptoms or discomfort?
Yes, absolutely, these will be the results of an effective detoxification. It repairs the causes of most diseases thus eliminating the symptoms. It activates our immune system optimally so that we can enjoy a healthy life.
